About Me

Thanks for checking out this page on my biographical information!  It is important for students and parents to know a little about their 8th Grade Social Studies teacher!

I am a proud two-time graduate from The University of Akron.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Child Education (Language Arts and Social Studies Endorsements) and a Master's Degree in "The Principalship."

I just celebrated my second wedding anniversary with my wife, Laura, on June 16!  She is the Fund Development and Marketing Director at Greenleaf Family Center (Akron, OH).

I have a wonderful three-year-old Beagle named Cally.

My hobbies include coaching soccer, attending sporting events, biking the CVNP towpath, hiking, and traveling!

This won't go over real well with diehard Clevelanders, but I am a huge Pittsburgh sports fan.  My father (a journalist) covered the Pirates and Steelers championships in my birth year of '79, so I never really had a choice in the matter!

I am also a huge supporter of The University of Akron's athletic squads.  I am counting down the days until my Akron Zips win a National Championship in soccer!
