Welcome students, parents, and fellow history "buffs" to Mr. Shank's Online History Class!  This page is designed to help make my classroom content more readily accessible to all students and hopefully end the popular excuse, "Sorry Mom and Dad, I can't work on my schoolwork.  I left all of my classwork, assignments, and textbook in my locker."

Please check out the "My Booklist" tab for a link to our online textbook!  No more excuses that their book is in their locker!!!  The student's log-in information is located on Binder #1B.

PARENTS: If you have any questions and/or concerns, please email to get in contact with me.  It is extremely difficult to return phone calls during the day, but I can quickly exchange emails.  Please feel free to send an email and I will try to respond within a couple of hours.  Thanks for understanding!

*** An organized Social Studies Binder is an ESSENTIAL component towards finding success in my class.  Think of the Binder as the "heart" of Social Studies class.  A human being cannot survive without a healthy heart, and a student cannot survive Mr. Shank's class without an organized Binder.

The Binder MUST stay organized, which is a relatively simple task.  Every piece of paper that a student receives in my class will be assigned a number.  The items MUST be organized numerically.  No dividers, no special sections, no confusion.  Please refer to the weekly "Binder List" tab on the left side of my website.  My hope is to help develop organizational skills that will last a lifetime!
